Julian Lorenzi is president and CEO of Analog Manufaktur Germany, makers of award-winning turntables located in southern Germany. Mr. Lorenzi took over the helm of AMG in 2013 after the death of his father, company founder Werner Röschlau. Having apprenticed for years under the direction of his father, who was an inventor, pilot, master machinist, and extreme perfectionist, Julian ushered the company into an era of growth and new product development, including the new Giro MK II Wood turntable, which we will be proudly demonstrating at our upcoming event.
As leader of a small, family-run company, Julian has direct, hands-on involvement in the production process for every AMG component. Mr. Lorenzi honors his father's spirit of perfectionism with every part produced in their high-tech factory, from the smallest custom made bolt, to the massive frame of their flagship Forte turntable.
Julian will be visiting northern California with his family this summer and will be joining Music Lovers Audio for this event which will showcase the wonderful sound and elegant design of AMG turntables. A company and product overview will be combined with an eclectic musical demonstration and broader discussion of analog audio in general. This will be followed by a question and answer session with Mr. Lorenzi and with Michael Fajen of distributor Sierra Sound. Refreshments including specialty German snacks will be provided.
