The Datasat RA2400 Stereo Power Amplifier combines innovative design with advanced circuitry to deliver outstanding audio performance. Ideal for high quality home theatre installations as well as 2 channel audiophile music systems the sound reproduction is refined and pure. Datasat has produced one of the industry’s quietest and most powerful, quiet and musical 2 channel stereo amplifiers.

The fully balanced differential design of the RA2400 doubles amplifier speed (slew rate) while reducing noise by 50%. It uses current feedback to increase amplifier speed while dual mono design ensures each channel is completely independent with separate power supplies. This minimises crosstalk, noise and distortion.

The Datasat RA2400 features a unique amplifier design using 940 small storage capacitors situated close to the output transistors for faultless operation. With up to 20 output devices per channel, each channel of the RA2400 has its own specifically designed bridge rectifier for smooth AC to DC conversion.

Any number of Datasat RA2400 amplifiers can be operated without thermal issues – the amplifiers are maintained at their optimum bias point independent of their temperature. All parts within the amplifier have no thermal limitations. It’s fully integrated power supply for the input stage features 7 independent regulators for continuous operation.

Delivering extended versatility, the Datasat RA2400 produces 400 watts of power rated at 8 ohm loads. For high power performance at low impedance, it is capable of continuous operation at 600 watts rated at 4 ohms.

The RA2400 amplifier is designed to complement Datasat’s RS20i high-end audio processor as well as the RA7300 multi-channel amplifier providing the ultimate listening experience for luxury home cinema.

The quietest amplifiers available

Dual thermal sensors of the Datasat RA2400 Stereo Power Amplifier, one for each channel, control very low speed fan with substantial heat sinks. The fan only operates when program material requires additional cooling to ensure any fan noise is always masked by the active content. The input stage of the RA2400 uses cascode operation for even lower noise. In this way, the amplifier delivers a signal-to-noise ratio of >126dB (‘A’ weighted, referenced to full output).

Innovative, modular design

The RA2400 features dual mono design where the channels are completely independent. Each channel is designed with an individual power supply on a single printed circuit board. Separate power supplies for each channel minimize crosstalk, noise and distortion. In addition, this approach provides for ease of replacement and system maintenance.

Enhanced versatility

The RA2400 amplifier is rated for 4 and 8 ohm loads. It is capable of 2 channels of 400 watts RMS power at 8 ohms. It delivers 600 watts RMS at 4 ohms.

Extended connectivity

The RA2400 features DB25 connectors with pass-through and channel select that mate perfectly with the It also features balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA connectors.

Consistent, thermal-independent operations

The RA2400 use dual-DC servos to ensure that DC offset is as a minimum and thermal-track transistors maintain the amplifier at its optimum bias point independent of its temperature. It operates without current limiting. The parts within the RA2400 have no thermal limitations – even the line fuse has been replaced by a magnetic circuit breaker. In addition, its fully regulated power supply for the input stage features 7 independent regulators for smooth operations.

Advanced circuitry

The fully balanced differential topology of the RA2400 doubles amplifier slew rate and reduces noise by half. It features a unique amplifier design using multiple small storage capacitors; 940 1000 microfarad units per channel situated as close as possible to the output transistors. It features 20 output devices per channel and each channel has its own specifically designed bridge rectifier for smooth AC to DC conversion. Its isolated floating output stage is immune to disruptions due to ground currents.

Efficient standby

The RA2400 Stereo Power Amplifier meets or exceeds all international standards for standby power consumption including the new 122 watt standard.
